If you are going to visit Somnath Mahadev, know this first, otherwise

  • Mandatory online booking for darshan at the temple
  •  Somnath Temple The first temple to introduce a pass system for darshan
  •  Mandatory passage through each of the sanitizer tunnels

Somnath: The number of cases of coronary heart disease in Gujarat is increasing instead of decreasing.  The number of corona cases in the state is increasing day by day.  With the onset of Shravan month, crowds of devotees have started flocking to Shivalayas.  Due to the huge crowd of Jamati devotees at the Somnath temple, the Somnath Trust has started a compulsory pass system for entry (darshan) into the temple.  Mandatory online pass booking will be required for devotees coming from outside.

It is important that now that the month of Shravan has started, Shiva devotees have flocked to the temples for darshan.  But it is equally important to follow its guidelines because of the Corona epidemic.  But the trust, which has a huge crowd of devotees at India's first Jyotirlinga Somnath Mahadev temple, has made a mandatory pass system for darshan.  Whose online booking has become mandatory.

Thus, Somnath Temple has become the first temple to introduce a pass system for Darshan.  As per the decision of the trust, about 200 passes will be issued every hour as per the time of Darshan.  However, considering the social distance between the Koro epidemics, no one will get access to Somnath Mahadev's Aarti.

 How to book online?

For this, first of all, by opening the link for darshan booking on the temple's website www.somnath.org, the devotees will be able to get the pass by booking the darshan by selecting the date and time as per the prescribed darshan slot.  During the holy month of Shravan, in the year 2019, 18 lakh Shiva devotees visited Mahadevji.  Normally 70,000 to 80,000 visitors come here every day but at present only 10,000 devotees will be able to do so due to the Koro epidemic.

From tomorrow, children under the age of 10 and persons over the age of 65 will not be allowed to visit the temple.  In addition, ringing of bells in the temple as well as touching any part of the railing or construction is clearly prohibited.  In addition two sanitizer cabin-tunnels have been placed at the entrance.  Which everyone must go through.
