The Modi government will provide Rs 3.75 lakh to the farmers for this work
The central government has come up with a scheme in which young farmers can earn money by setting up a soil testing lab in the village. The lab costs Rs 5 lakh to set up. The government will provide 75 per cent or Rs 3.75 lakh. Of this, 60 per cent will be from the Center and 40 per cent from the state government.
Out of the money that the government will provide, Rs 2.5 lakh will be spent on purchasing testing machines, chemicals and other necessary items to run the laboratory. It will cost Rs 1 lakh to buy a computer, printer, scanner, GPS.

30 percent of the sample is provided
The government provides 30 per cent samples for soil sampling, testing and making soil health cards available. Interested youth, farmers and other organizations who have created the lab can make a proposal to the District Deputy Director of Agriculture, Joint Director or their office. agricoop.nic.in website or soilhealth.dac.gov.in for that. You can also get official information by contacting Kisan Call Center (1800-180-1551).
Soil testing facility
The government is trying to ensure that farmers have the facility to inspect the soil in their village. At the same time rural youth will also get employment. Under this scheme, rural youth and farmers between the ages of 18 to 40 can set up mini soil testing labs at the village level.

Self Help Groups, Agricultural Cooperative Societies and Agricultural Producers Association (FPO) will also get help in setting up the laboratory.
Start working this way
Soil testing can be started in two ways. The first way is to open the lab by taking it to a shop. Other than that another lab that can be taken anywhere. Also called MOBILE SOIL TESTING VAN.
Will be sent to customers
In the first case, the trader will examine the clay which will be sent to someone's door in his laboratory and then his report will be sent to the customers by e-mail or print out. However, the second option can be very beneficial compared to the first. So as far as investing in it is concerned, it is more than the first option.
The need for more laboratories
There are 7949 small and large labs in the country at present. Which may be inadequate in terms of farmers and agriculture. The government has approved 10,845 laboratories. Vinod Anand, a member of the National Federation of Farmers, says there are 14.5 crore farming families in the country.
It will not work with so few laboratories. There are about 6.5 lakh villages in India. If you look at the current number, there is one lab on 28 villages. So this time at least 2 lakh laboratories are needed. Cannot be tested in the same way due to low laboratory.
