The names of its candidates were announced by the Gujarat Congress in view of the by-elections. It may be mentioned here that by-elections are being held on the vacancies where Congress candidates have left the party and joined the BJP. It was a big challenge for the Congress to announce the names of the candidates then.
The names were announced by the Congress on Dhari, Karjan, Morbi, Abadsa, Gadha. However there was a long brainstorming by the Congress to decide on these names. Candidates were announced by the Congress at five seats late in the evening. However even the three seats are still cocky tangled. The names of candidates for Limbdi, Kaprada and Dang seats have not been announced yet. The Congress has not yet been able to reach a definite conclusion on the name here as these seats are the same sex equation and more than one strong contender.

Tickets were given to BJP leaders from the Congress
The BJP has announced the names of candidates for seven of the eight vacant seats in the Gujarat Assembly. Among the names announced are tickets for leaders who have left the Congress and joined the BJP.
Pradyuman Singh Jadeja has been given a ticket from the Abdasa seat. While BJP has given ticket to Atmaram Parmar from Gadha seat. The BJP has not yet announced the name of its candidate for the Limbdi seat.

State President CR Patil was in Delhi and after discussing with the High Command the names of candidates for Gujarat's 8-seat by-election, the BJP today announced its candidates for seven seats. In which Brijesh Merja in Morbi, Kakadia in Dhari, Karjan Akshay Patel, Vijay Patel in Dang, Jitu Chaudhary from Kaprada seat have been given tickets.
J.V. Kakadia will win: BJP in-charge Dhansukh Bhanderi
JV as the candidate from BJP in today's expected seat. Kakadia's name has been revealed. Dhansukh Bhanderi, the BJP in-charge of the Dhari seat, said in a statement that there were 144 villages in the seat.

J.V. Cucumbers will win. Farmers welcome the central government's farmers' scheme. Only Congress opposes. BJP leaders from the entire Amreli district are active. J.V. Kakadia joined the BJP and the organization will become stronger and more victorious.
Ticket to Atmaram Parmar, who is considered close to Patil
Atmaram Parmar, who got a ticket from Gadda seat, is believed to be close to state president CR Patil. When Patil was on a tour of Saurashtra after becoming the state president, he told a case while addressing activists. He said that both May and Atmarambhai Parmar started their political careers together in December 1989.

Seats vacated due to resignation of Congress MLA
A total of eight Congress MLAs, including five in March and three in March, resigned before the Rajya Sabha elections due to massive sabotage in the Congress, leaving the seats vacant.
Jitu Chaudhary from Kaprada, Mangal Gavit from Dang, Soma Patel from Limbdi, Pravin Maru from Gadda, JV Kakadia from Dhari, Brijesh Merja from Morbi, Akshay Patel from Karjan and Pradyumansinh Jadeja from Abadsa resigned.
