A father and son were killed in an accident near Charoti near the Gujarat-Maharashtra border at around 5 am when a builder of Peopleload was returning from Mumbai with his daughter from Canada. The daughter and the driver were rescued. Rajiv Rajnikanth Pajiyawala (52), a resident of Peopleod Tirupati Nagar, runs a construction business with a civil engineer. His daughter Nidhi was studying in Canada. Rajiv Pajiyawala went out with his son Hershal (20 years) on Sunday night to collect the funds.
On the way, Rajiv Pajiyawala went to his sister's house in Vapi. From there the cab went to Mumbai Airport. At half past one in the night, Rajivbhai took his daughter Nidhi to Surat. The driver of the cab collided with a moving tanker near Charoti at around 5 am. It killed Hershal and Rajiv Pajiyawala.
Nidhi and the driver sustained minor injuries. Nidhi, Hershal and Rajiv Pajiyawala were on the sidewalk when the incident took place. The driver told local police the tanker was moving in front of him. The tanker suddenly stopped due to a flat tire, so the car lost control and had an accident. Rajiv Pajiyawala's cousin Suketubhai said Hershel had just completed his BSc IT.
Nidhi, who came for 3 months, could only stay with her parents for hours
Nidhi Pajiyawala had settled in Canada for four years and was filing her permanent residency. He was assigned work from home in his company due to the lockdown. Meanwhile, due to the arrival of winter in Canada, his boss gave Nidhi three months leave to go back to his native India. Even though Nidhi Bharat came to spend three months with the family, she was able to spend countless hours with her father and brother.
