Recently, a strange case came to light at Dr. Thakkar's Hospital, Vidyanagar Main Road, Rajkot. Aryan Hiteshbhai Chauhan (age 6) from Rajkot had a battery cell stuck in his nose for 5 months. According to his father, Aryan has not had a cold for the last 5 months.
A yellow, foul-smelling liquid was dripping from his right nostril. As well as the side nose was closing and there was also pain. An X-ray at the hospital, which showed no difference despite repeated medication, revealed that something metal was stuck in the right side of his nose. This caused the battery cell to come out during the operation.
Hiteshbhai, the father of the child, further said that about 5 months ago today, Arya had inserted a battery cell in his nose while playing. So the doctor performed an immediate operation with binoculars without any delay and removed the battery cell trapped in Aryan's nose for five months in a matter of minutes and saved the child's life.

According to Dr Thakkar, the dire situation in the case was that the child was only 6 years old. It is also difficult to remove a cell trapped in the nose for as long as five months. As it was stuck with the surrounding skin inside the nose.
