The Forest Department had registered an offense under various sections of the Wildlife Conservation Act
The forest department nabbed two persons with blind chains from Jashadhar range under Girgarhda in Gir-Somnath district. Both the accused had applied to the Sessions Court for bail. In which, based on the arguments of the public prosecutor, the court has granted the bail application of both of them.

The Forest Department nabbed two persons with 3 blind chaklas worth Rs 75 lakh
In this regard, Public Prosecutor Ketansinh Wala said that the staff of Forest Department including RFO JG Pandya from Jashadhar Range nabbed Jagdish Manubhai Vadodaria and Mansukh Devsibhai Suvagiya with blind Chankal (two-mouthed snake) No. 3 worth Rs 75 lakh. The Forest Department had registered an offense against the two under various sections of the Wildlife Conservation Act and released the names of six more persons after obtaining remand of both the accused.
Prosecutors argued that the two men were selling blind taps for superstitious tantric purposes.
Jagadishtatha and Mansukh were produced in the first Girgarhda court on completion of their remand. The bail application was not granted here and arguments were held before Judge Sanjay Kumar Lovejibhai Thakkar in Sessions Court Kodinar.
In which, the public prosecutor Ketan Singh Wala argued that the people living around the Gir sanctuary were smuggling animals and birds and selling them for tantric purposes motivated by superstition. Taking this into consideration, the judge ordered not to grant bail to both the persons.
