Road accident in Ambala: Six killed as tanker hits rickshaw, police chase after fleeing driver

The increasing incidence of road accidents in the country has become a major concern. Hundreds of innocent lives are being lost due to this kind of incident. Six people were killed in a Gozara road accident in Ambala this afternoon. The accident took place when an autorickshaw was hit by a tanker. Five people died on the spot, while one woman died on the way to Chandigarh's PGI. The driver of the tanker fled after the incident, but was later apprehended by police.

According to information received, an autorickshaw was traveling from Narayangarh to the nearby village of Jolly. At that time, a tanker coming from the opposite direction hit the rickshaw. Five people, including the driver, were killed on the spot.

The dead included 81-year-old Mehrchand, 33-year-old auto driver Sunil, 60-year-old Salamati and 62-year-old Gafardin. The other two women have not yet been identified.

On the other hand, the driver of the tanker took the vehicle and fled after the incident, but was chased and caught by the police. Police are investigating the whole incident.
