મકર સંક્રાંતિ:14 જાન્યુ.એ રાતે સૂર્યદેવ પોતાના પુત્ર શનિની રાશિ મકરમાં પ્રવેશ કરશે, આ દિવસથી માંગલિક કાર્યોની શરૂઆત થશ

શુક્રવાર, 14 જાન્યુઆરીએ રાતે લગભગ 9 વાગ્યા પછી સૂર્ય ધન રાશિમાંથી મકર રાશિમાં પ્રવેશ કરશે. આ કારણે 14મીએ મકર સંક્રાંતિ ઊજવવામાં આવશે. આ અંગે પંચાંગ ભેદ પણ છે. થોડી જગ્યાએ 15મીએ મકર સંક્રાંતિ ઊજવવામાં આવશે અને 15 તારીખે મકર સંક્રાંતિ સાથે જોડાયેલાં પુણ્ય કર્મ કરવામાં આવશે.

ઉજ્જૈનના જ્યોતિષાચાર્ય પં. મનીષ શર્માના જણાવ્યા પ્રમાણે પોતાના ક્ષેત્રના શ્રેષ્ઠ પંચાંગ પ્રમાણે મકર સંક્રાંતિ ઉજવી શકાય છે. મકર સંક્રાંતિએ સૂર્યદેવ પોતાના પુત્ર શનિની રાશિ મકરમાં પ્રવેશ કરે છે. આ દિવસથી લગ્ન વગેરે બધા જ પ્રકારના માંગલિક કાર્યો શરૂ થઈ શકે છે.

મકર સંક્રાંતિ પછી જ સૂર્ય ઉત્તરાયણ થાય છે. આ કારણે ઠંડીની અસર ઘટે છે અને ધીમે-ધીમે ગરમી વધવા લાગશે. મકર સંક્રાંતિએ તલ અને ગોળનું સેવન ખાસ કરવામાં આવે છે. માન્યતા છે કે મકર સંક્રાંતિએ કરવામાં આવતી પૂજા અક્ષય પુણ્ય સાથે જ સ્વાસ્થ્ય લાભ પણ આપે છે.

મકર સંક્રાંતિએ કોઈ પવિત્ર નદીમાં સ્નાન કરવાનું ખાસ મહત્ત્વ છે. નદીમાં સ્નાન કર્યા પછી સૂર્યને અર્ઘ્ય આપવું જોઈએ. નદી કિનારે જ જરૂરિયાતમંદ લોકોને ધન, અનાજ અને તલગોળનું દાન કરો. કોઈ ગૌશાળામાં લીલું ઘાસ અને ગાયની દેખરેખ માટે ધનનું દાન કરો. હાલ ઠંડીનો સમય છે તો જરૂરિયાતમંદ લોકોને ઊનના વસ્ત્ર કે ધાબળાનું દાન કરવું જોઈએ.

15 જાન્યુઆરીએ શનિવાર હોવાથી આ દિવસે શનિદેવ માટે ખાસ પૂજાપાઠ કરો. શનિદેવને તેલ ચઢાવો. વાદળી અને કાળા તલ અર્પણ કરો. શનિદેવ સામે દીવો પ્રગટાવીને ૐ શં શનૈશ્વરાય નમઃ મંત્રનો જાપ કરો.
