  • Saurashtra received 67% of the season's rainfall, three districts received more than 100% rainfall

Rajkot. Cloudy weather has been witnessed in Saurashtra since Sunday morning. It was raining heavily in Bhanvad this morning. Two inches of rain in two hours flooded the road. Even in Porbandar, people were relieved from the heat with an inch of rain falling in two hours in the morning. Junagadh received 10 MM, Ranavav 6 MM and Girsomnath 4 MM rainfall.

 Farmers are happy that good rains have benefited the cotton and groundnut crops. Assuming slow in the lathi, heavy rain fell in Gondal. Heavy rains have flooded the roads. Heavy rains in Jasdan have turned the water back on the roads. Rains have lashed some areas of Rajkot city. The cold has spread in Madhapar Chokdi, Gondal Chokdi and Yagnik Road.

Assume slow rain in Lathi diocese

In the afternoon, the atmosphere in Amreli district has changed. Rainy weather has set in with black debong clouds. It rained slowly in Lathi district. Assuming a slow rain with wind, the atmosphere has become cooler.

Roads flooded

Heavy rains in Bhanwad had turned the water back on the roads. In rural areas, farmers have expressed hope that the ground level will rise as water flows out of the fields. Saurashtra has received 67% rainfall this season. Three districts of Saurashtra have received more than 100% rainfall. Devbhoomi Dwarka received 155%, Porbandar 106.91% and Jamnagar 101% rainfall.
