Customers get accidental insurance on LPG gas cylinders. Customers do not have to pay any separate premium for it. Customers get this insurance cover absolutely free. If a person dies in an LPG cylinder blast, the gas company pays Rs 6 lakh per person as compensation. This personal accident cover is payable for loss of life and property in an accident caused by an LPG cylinder at the customer's home.

Rs 6 lakh per person per accident in case of death in an accident There is an inspection of the place where the accident or blast took place before providing insurance cover up to Rs 2 lakh per accident in case of damage to the customer's property, house due to blast etc.

The process of getting insurance cover
- First register an FIR at the local police station.
- Hand over a copy of the FIR to your gas distributor.
- Your distributor will transfer the FIR to the oil company.
- Now a team from the insurance company will come to the scene to investigate.
- The same team will determine the amount of the claim after investigating and looking at the damage caused by the cylinder.
- The oil company will send the claim amount to its distributor, which will then be passed on to the customer or his family members.
