• Health department concerned over rising number of corona positive cases in Saurashtra

Rajkot. The health department is concerned over the steady rise in the number of corona positive cases in Saurashtra. In Rajkot, 10 people have died from corona in the last 12 hours. Significantly, 10 people were killed yesterday. So far 21 patients have died from corona in the last 2 days. While a total of 1470 positive cases have been reported in the district. Yesterday, 72 cases were reported in Rajkot, including 52 in Corona and 20 in rural areas.

566 cases positive in last 16 days

Corona cases are increasing rapidly in Rajkot but the number of tests is not increasing as much. Because, the system fears that it will cause 100 to 150 cases every day even in Rajkot. Because of this people who fall ill in the city reach the hospital and are coming back positive giving samples. As a result, 566 people have tested positive in the last 16 days. In comparison, testing is already being done in rural areas, but the positive outflow rate is 11 per cent.

11 per cent rate in rural areas

2206 samples were taken from 11 to 26 July in rural areas. Out of which 259 positive cases have doubled to 535. The average positive ratio of both the urban and rural areas has remained as high as 18 per cent with 825 cases these days.

The health department conducted contact tracing
