Earthquake: 4.1 magnitude earthquake shakes Rajkot district including Jetpur, Upleta, Gondal
At 3.50am, an earthquake shook the area and residents rushed out of the house
Saurashtra has been experiencing frequent earthquakes for the last three months. Even 20 days ago, there were three earthquakes in Rajkot. An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale was felt in Jetpur, Upleta, Gondal, Dhoraji and other areas of Rajkot district around 3.50 pm today. The quake caused panic among the residents and they rushed out of the house. The epicenter was reported at 25 km from Upleta. Being away has been found to be the primary basis.
Three aftershocks were felt on September 9th
Three tremors were felt in Rajkot on September 9 at 7.30 am. The first tremor was felt at 11.31 am with a magnitude of 1.5, the second at 1.36 pm with a magnitude of 1.6 and at 7.08 pm with a magnitude of 1.4. However, no casualties were reported from the quake. The epicenter was reported at 27 km from Rajkot.
On July 16, a magnitude 4.8 earthquake shook the region
On July 16, a magnitude 4.8 earthquake shook Rajkot. People who felt the shock of the earthquake rushed out of their houses. The epicenter was reported at 22 km from Rajkot. The quake was felt in Kotdasangani taluka of Rajkot. It is to be mentioned that the earthquake which came in the early morning created an atmosphere of fear among the people. Locals rushed out of the house. The quake lasted for about 4 seconds.
The tremors were felt in Lalpur on September 1
The tremors were felt in Jamnagar district on September 1 amid rainy weather. The tremors were felt in rural areas in Lalpur panth. At 12.15 pm, a magnitude 2.2 earthquake shook the region. At 12.23 pm, another magnitude 1.9 earthquake shook the region.
Dhara Dhruji is in Dhoraji of Rajkot. At 3:45 a.m. in Dhoraji, a sudden earthquake shook the area.
