 Gandhinagar: After the announcement of the central government for the farmers of the state, the Gujarat government has also announced to purchase 6 more agricultural products (gujarat farmers latest news) at support prices.  After the cabinet meeting, Agriculture Minister RC Faldu and Food and Civil Supplies Minister Jayesh Radadia held a press conference and announced, "Agriculture decision has been taken in the presence of CM and Dy.CM in today's cabinet meeting.  In addition to groundnuts, the government will buy millets, maize, paddy and mugs, urad and soybeans at support prices this year.  Purchases will be made at support prices through NAFED.  The state government will help NAFED. ”


 R.C.  Faldu said, "This purchase will be made by the state supply corporation (gujarat farmers latest news).  For which the date of registration and centers have also been fixed.  There will be online registration for paddy, millet and maize.  92 centers have been allotted for paddy, 61 for maize and 57 for millet.  Registration for this will be done from 1st October to 29th October from Marketing Yard and Approved Centers.  Paddy, maize and millets will be procured from October 16 to December 31.


 Among agricultural products, 60 centers have been earmarked for soybeans, 71 for mugs and 80 for adad.  While Mug, Adad, Soybean can be registered online from 12th October to 31st December.  This registration can also be done at marketing yards and centers.


 Purchase: Once the registration is completed, the government will purchase from November 2, 2020 to January 30, 2021 (gujarat farmers latest news).  The Civil Supplies Corporation will also announce the purchase period.

 Jayesh Radadia said that it is noteworthy that 2.80 lakh farmers have registered for groundnut.  Arrangements are being made so that no farmer is left behind.  3700 crore has been allocated this year.  In 7 days, 2,80,000 farmers have registered (gujarat farmers latest news) and the process is about to start for others.  Instructions have been given to ensure that no farmer is deprived of the registration process.
