The actress' body was lying face down on the ground with blood flowing from her nose and vomiting from her mouth.

Actress Arya Banerjee, who acted in films like 'The Dirty Picture' and 'Love Sex Aur Dhokha', has died under mysterious circumstances. Police have launched an investigation into the matter. Arya Banerjee's body was found in her flat in Jodhpur Park in South Kolkata. His corpse was soaked in blood.

It is learned that the maid went to work at Arya Banerjee's house but after calling several times, she did not get any reply. Suspicious, he came to the Zill police station and reported.

Police arrived at the scene after receiving the information. Arya Banerjee's flat was locked from the inside. Police broke down the door of the flat and entered inside, police found the corpse of the actress inside the house. Blood was flowing from his nose and he was vomiting from his mouth. Arya's body was lying face down on the ground.

Arya Banerjee, 33, was originally named Devdatta Banerjee. She was the youngest daughter of the famous sitar player Pandit Nikhil Banerjee. Arya started her film career with 'Love Sex Aur Dhokha' (2010) and later worked with Vidya Balan in 'The Dirty Picture' (2011). In The Dirty Picture, she played the role of Shakila, an erotic film star from the South.

Arya also earned a master's degree in classical music before setting foot in the glamor world. She then also worked as a fashion model. Arya also did a three-month acting course from Anupam Kher's acting school.

Arya's friend and well-known actor Chandan Roy Sanyal wrote about Arya on social media that she was a fan of veteran filmmakers like Woody Allen, Jean-Luc Godard, Franુois Truffaut, Mrinal Sen, Hrithik Ghatak.

Arya lived alone in that flat. In the preliminary investigation, the police said that no attempt of murder has been detected at the present stage, but more will be known only after the post-mortem report.
