Campaigning for the Gujarat Local Body Election is currently underway.  At that time, the district police chief Balram Mela had already instructed the crime branch as well as the SOG and the police station officials of different police stations to prevent any drunkenness in Rajkot district.  Under which Crime Branch SOG as well as teams of different police stations are working.  At that time, the Rajkot Rural Crime Branch has speeded up a mini factory for making duplicate english liquor from Som Piplia village in Jasdan police station area.  As many as four accused have been arrested and more than nine lakh cases have been registered.

In a conversation with News18 Gujarati, Ajay Singh Gohil, PI, Rajkot Rural LCB, said that the Crime Branch team had received information that an English liquor factory was operating in Som Piplia village in Jasdan police station area.  Based on the information, the crime branch raided the residence of Dineshbhai Kukabhai Dabhi in Som Piplia village and arrested four persons running an English liquor factory.

During the raid, police seized duplicate foreign liquor making equipment, small bottles of ready-made foreign liquor, barrels as well as foreign doors, swift cars and mobile phones in Kerba and seized a total of Rs 9,34,000.

 Ajay Singh Gohil said about the modus operandi of the accused that Hasmukhbhai alias Hasso alias Kumbar alias Bhagat along with his associates used duplicate foreign liquor making color, sealing machine, empty bottles and bottle lids and seals as well as bottle stickers etc.  Duplicate foreign liquor was made and sold here ordered from the state.

Accused Hasmukh alias Hasso alias Bhagat has been booked for four offenses in the past.  Meanwhile, a case has been registered against Pankaj Manji Patidar in the state of Rajasthan for making duplicate foreign liquor.
