The Indian pharmaceutical industry has grown by 18% despite various major challenges, showing its potential: Modi

Modi said, 'Comrades!  Before speaking from the area, I would like to commend all the doctors, medical-para-medical staff, cleaners, ambulance drivers, security forces, police personnel in the country.  You even risked your life in the first wave of Corona.  Today again you are working day and night to save this crisis from your own family, happiness and worries and save the lives of others.  Our scripture says that one should not lose patience even in the most difficult of times.  Only when we make the right decision to face any situation can we win.  Today, the country is working day and night with this mantra in mind.

 Focus on the arrangement of oxygen

 "This time around, the demand for oxygen has increased significantly in many parts of the country due to the Corona crisis.  The subject is being worked on expeditiously and with full sensitivity.  The central government, the state government, the private sector, all have made enough efforts to provide oxygen to the people in need.  Measures are being taken at several levels to increase oxygen production and supply.  Every effort is being made to supply 1 lakh new cylinders to the states, whether the oxygen used in industries is medical, whether it is oxygen rail.

 Meanwhile, in the midst of the growing epidemic of covid epidemic in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has joined a meeting with manufacturers on vaccines through video conferencing.  Representatives of other big companies including Aadar Poonawala of Serum Institute of India were present.  Earlier, they held talks with the presidents of the pharmaceutical industry on Monday.  PM Modi praised the important role of the medical sector in the fight against the epidemic.

He said that it is the result of the continuous efforts of the pharmaceutical industry that today India is known as the Pharmacy of the World. During the epidemic we made essential medicines available in more than 150 countries around the world. The Indian pharmaceutical industry has grown by 18% despite various major challenges, reflecting its potential.

Modi also interacted with doctors

In the meantime, there was a wide-ranging discussion on what can be done against the corona virus.
