અંજીરની ખેતી કરનાર પ્રથમ મહિલાને મળો, લાખોની કરી કમાણી


Women and families of the large Ankadia village of Amreli district started cultivating such figs from Surat during the lockdown.  Have raised 3 crops in seven veedha lands and earned 8 to 10 lakhs.  She has also become the first woman to cultivate figs in the district.


Abhishek Gondaliya.  Amreli.  A woman farmer of Biga Ankadia village in Amreli district started cultivating figs for the first time in the district during the lockdown.  The woman earned 8 to 10 lakhs after harvesting three crops of figs.


Vilasben Dineshbhai Savsaiya planted figs in his seven bigha land during the lockdown.  Figs were planted with fully organic cultivation. Three crops of figs were harvested.  Seven to eight lakh rupees were earned in the three crops.  Vilasben's husband Dineshbhai stayed at a farm house in China and learned all about fig cultivation.  At the same time, there was a lockdown due to the corona epidemic.  Later, saplings were brought from Malaysia to Andhra Pradesh and from Andhra Pradesh to Mota Ankadia village in Amreli.


The first farmers to cultivate figs in the district were women Vilasben


Vilasben said, she has been farming with her husband and children for two years.  He came home from Surat during the lockdown.  The latter decided to take up cultivation and fig cultivation was started for the first time in Amreli district.  Currently, 3400 fig plants have been planted in Vilasben's farm. Three crops have been harvested from these plants, from which 7.5 lakhs to 8 lakhs have been earned.

1,200 to 1,600 rupees were received per kg


Vilasbane and her husband have been given the status of progressive farmers.  A processing machine has been brought from China.  Figs are processed and sold in the open market.  The price of processed figs fetched Rs 1,200 to Rs 1,600 per kg in the open market.  Currently selling figs in Amreli and surrounding districts, Surat. Being fully organic figs, a large number of people prefer figs from large villages as they are sweeter than imported figs from Afghanistan.
