 Bank Holidays in January 2023: The list of bank holidays in all states is not the same.  According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), all states have a different list of holidays.  The complete list of these holidays is given on the official website of RBI.


January 2023 will have several bank holidays due to many festivals and Republic Day.  According to the RBI calendar, there will be holidays in January for Land and Republic Day.  Saturday and Sunday holidays are also included in the list of holidays.  It is essential to check the Bank Holiday January 2023 list to avoid missing cash or any important banking task in January.  Some other important festivals are going to be celebrated along with the Republic Day in the first month of the year 2023.  Holidays include New Year celebrations, Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti, Missionary Day, Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, Makar Sankranti, Pongal, Republic Day.  Banks will not be closed all over the country on these days.  Some holidays are also regional.

  • 26 જાન્યુઆરી, 2023 – ગુરુવાર, પ્રજાસત્તાક દિવસ
  • 28 જાન્યુઆરી, 2023 – ચોથો શનિવાર
  • 29 જાન્યુઆરી, 2023 – રવિવાર


Most of the work is done online


 For the convenience of the customers, the online banking facility continues on bank holidays.  Along with this, the ATM service for the bank customers also continues as before so that they do not have to face any kind of problem.  Nowadays, most of the work can be done online.  There are only minor tasks for which you are forced to visit a bank branch.


 Bank holidays vary by state

 Strong results from public sector banks


 Public Sector Banks (PSBs) have come a long way since the year 2017.  In 2017 they made Rs.  85,390 crore while it reported a net loss of Rs.  66,539 crore was turned into a profit.  It is estimated that by the end of the current financial year, the profit of PSBs may increase to over one lakh crore rupees.  There was a time when 11 out of 21 PSBs were placed under the Prompt Corrective Action Framework of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) due to alarming levels of bad loans.
