Big change in PMO, Gujarati official got lottery of PM's private secretary




Hardik Satish Chandra Shah, who was the Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office, has been made the Private Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi). Shah is a 2010 batch Gujarat cadre IAS. Hardik Satish Chandra Shah, a 2010 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, was appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office in August. It may be mentioned here that Hardik Shah, an IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, is currently on deputation at the Center and has served as the Private Secretary to Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar.

Vivek Kumar was Modi's PS

In July 2019, Vivek Kumar from Bombay was appointed as the Personal Secretary to the Prime Minister. A cabinet-appointed committee headed by the prime minister approved the new appointment for Vivek Kumar and appointed him as personal secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Vivek Kumar served as Deputy Chief of Protocol in the Ministry of External Affairs from July 2013 to December 2016. Kumar has also served as Consul General of India in Sydney. Vivek Kumar is also credited with enforcing the RTI Act.
