Good news: 60,000 affordable buildings to be built for the middle class, government gives green light to 81 projects

So far 81 projects have been approved under the Special Window for Affordable and Mid Income Housing. Under which Rs. 8767 crore will be invested for construction of 60,000 houses. According to the finance ministry, 10 projects are being set up in Bengaluru, seven in Pune, 27 in Mumbai, 26 in NCR and three in Chennai.

Lilizodi given to 81 projects

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday reviewed the progress of Swamy's work with State Bank of India, SBI Capital Markets, SBICAPS Ventures Limited. During the review, it was found that out of these 81 projects, 18 projects have been given final approval and out of them, payment for 7 projects has started at various levels. All these schemes are spread across small and big cities of the country. Mainly capital city area, MMR, Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Karnal, Panipat, Lucknow, Surat, Dehardun, Kota, Nagpur, Jaipur, Nashik, Chandigarh.

It has also come to light during the review that many trained and untrained workers will also get employment with the launch of the scheme. It has also been assured that there will be no shortage of funds for this scheme. According to the finance ministry, funds have been allocated for the scheme.
