The objective of RKVY is to achieve and maintain the required annual growth rate during the 12th Five Year Plan period ensuring the overall development of the sector related to agriculture.

The main objectives of Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana

The main objective of the National Agricultural Development Plan is to encourage states to promote public investment in agriculture and related sectors. On the other hand, it is also intended to give flexibility and autonomy to the states in the process of planning and implementation of agriculture and related schemes and to formulate agricultural schemes for districts and states based on agro-climatic conditions, technology and availability of natural resources.
