Another daughter has died after being raped in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras district. A 6-year-old girl from May Jatoi village in Sadabad area was raped 20 days ago in the precincts of Iglas police station in Aligarh. The charge has been leveled against the victim's cousin. The victim was sent to AIIMS in Delhi for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries on Monday.

Angered by the incident, the family members staged a protest by placing the body on Baldev Road in Hathras. However, the family members were ready for the funeral after the in-charge of the police station was suspended. A police force has been deployed in the village following the tense situation. Senior police officials also arrived at the scene.

The victim came to stay at her aunt's house with her elder sister

The wife of a villager living in Jatoi village died in January. The father says that three months later, the girl came to live with her sister at her aunt's house. On September 17, the aunt's son raped the girl. The girl was sent to the district hospital that day, CO Iglas Parashuram Singh said.

The juvenile accused was arrested on September 24

The next day the baby was handed over to the father. Childline was taking care of the girl, after which the father admitted her to JN Medical College, AMU. A complaint was lodged against the accused at the Eglas police station on September 21. The juvenile accused was arrested on September 24.

The accused was sent to the Juvenile Correctional Institution on the orders of the Child Welfare Committee

After the arrest of the minor, he was produced in the Juvenile Court, where the accused was sent to the Mathura Juvenile Correctional Institution on the orders of the Juvenile Welfare Committee. Meanwhile, the girl's condition worsened and she was admitted to AIIMS Hospital in Delhi from a medical college on October 4, where she died on Monday.

Father's allegation- The true accused was not arrested

The father alleges that the police have arrested the wrong person. The young man arrested has been sent to a juvenile detention center, a mental patient. Her younger brother, whose daughter was named before she died, has been arrested. The accused is his elder brother. My eldest daughter has been brought back from Aligarh. The father has also been charged with threatening the Iglas police station.

Police station in-charge suspended, departmental inquiry order

Aligarh SSP Muniraj has suspended the in-charge of Iglas police station on charges of showing indifference in the incident of rape with a child. The SSP has also ordered a departmental inquiry. Tantra has announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the family of an innocent girl.
