The Rupani government has advised not to wear certain types of masks while masks with social distance have proved to be the only medicine for corona.

 The Additional Director of Health has also informed this to the District Health Officer by letter. Among the different masks available in the market, valve masks are also now available in the market. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has expressed concern over the use of filtered and valved masks.

Such masks can work to spread the infection

Doctors and health experts have advised people not to wear filtered and valve masks. Taking such a mask does not prevent the transition of the corona. Conversely such masks can work to spread the infection. Concerns have been raised by medical experts about the different masks available in the market.

Medical experts say that masks with valves and filters should not be used as they do not protect against corona viruses. Every department of the state has been instructed to bring awareness among the people. The Additional Director of Health has written to all District Health Officers asking them to raise awareness. The letter said the mask offered no protection against Corona.
